D-F Testing Limited is a professional civil and construction materials testing laboratory providing world-class services in compressive strength testing, tensile testing, integrity testing, and general structural assessment for engineering projects across multiple sectors including oil & gas, manufacturing, hospitality, and infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, handling, and testing construction materials such as concrete, steel, and aggregates in accordance with relevant standards.
- Conduct laboratory and field tests under supervision (compressive strength, tensile, slump, coring, UPV, etc.).
- Ensure proper labeling, recording, and tracking of all test samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring cleanliness, calibration, and safety compliance.
- Collect and compile test data, generate reports, and submit results within specified timelines.
- Support engineers in performing non-destructive and destructive testing as required on site or in the lab.
- Adhere to company safety protocols, quality assurance standards, and ethical work practices.
- Participate in project briefings, technical discussions, and continuous professional development sessions.
- Assist in the general administration of the lab and documentation of quality control processes.
Qualifications of Ideal Candidate
- B.Eng. / HND in Civil Engineering or a related field (Materials, Structural, or Building Engineering).
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in materials testing, site laboratory, or quality control environment.
- Good understanding of laboratory testing methods (compressive, tensile, and concrete mix procedures).
- Basic computer literacy — Microsoft Word, Excel, and report formatting skills required.
- Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or STAAD Pro for reading and interpreting structural drawings is an added advantage.
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and committed to high standards of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and respect for professional ethics.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a technical work environment.
