Aldreda Fields Limited (AFL Networks) is licensed by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to provide Metropolitan Fibre Cable Network Services in Nigeria. AFL Networks provide Open Access Fibre Infrastructure-as-a-Service for delivery of digital services to consumers by ISP's and other media content providers.

Job Description

  • Troubleshoot and resolve WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems
  • Maintain service log for internet (WAN) and its deployment based on required needs
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and support network infrastructure
  • Maintain and optimise the health and efficiency of end-user systems
  • Install and configure software, hardware/networks, identify and resolve problems of same as directed by the WAN/Systems Administrator.
  • Assist the WAN/Systems Administrator in Designing, analyzing, and implementing WAN equipment installation/configuration and design a cost-effective system configuration that meets users’ requirements
  • Screen network to ensure network accessibility to every system customer and offer essential repairs to enable network availability
  • Accountable for making monitoring reports and handling device logs and ensuring the functionality of network links
  • Classify, analyze and document present and future requests to administer resources interrelated to the enterprise network
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
  • Test, evaluate and recommend selections of standard WAN and systems components
  • Implement project installation and administration as needed, following suggestions of the WAN/Systems Administrator.
  • Implement the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a B.Eng / BSc qualification with 0 - 2 years work experience.
