Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished documentaries that align with HotNaija’s vision and style.
• Collaborate with producers and directors to ensure the final product meets creative and technical standards.
• Incorporate graphics, sound effects, and music to enhance the overall impact of the documentaries.
• Work within project timelines and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Stay updated with the latest editing software and techniques to ensure our content remains cutting-edge.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio of documentary work.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a creative team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in documentary filmmaking, particularly with Nigerian content.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and color grading.
